My entire career has been in the financial industry, starting first designing 401(k) plans and then landing in a credit union. I have seen first hand the struggles people have with not only saving money but understanding what it means to be financially secure. I want to educate people on not only helping themselves but helping the greater good while doing so.
The Green Purpose is the intersection of financial and environmental responsibility. We often read of these two topics in individual silos, when in reality they are closely woven together. By practicing financial responsibility, you in turn recognize frivolous spending and save to protect your future self. By spending less and recognizing the feeling of having more ‘stuff’ is not where happiness comes from, we consume less, reuse more, and produce less waste.
The GP Promise
I will only ever recommend products or services I personally use or believe will help the sustainable mission. My goal with this blog is not to sell anything possible to you to gain a buck. I want to spread awareness about the positives of sustainable living and financial independence.
After all, it would be hypocritical of me to preach frugality and conscious buying then try to sell you anything and everything, no?
I will never subject you to crappy pop up and sidebar ads. I use pop-up blockers for a reason and can’t stand the infiltration of advertisment in everything we do. Side note, even though I understand how cookies work, does anyone else get creeped out when you search one thing on Amazon and every other website ad makes that suggestion for the next month? I go to one baby shower for a friend and Google thinks I’m pregnant and won’t drop the baby suggestions.
